Perfect Strike
While smoky air and debauchery fills the first floor, an exclusive all-day party reigns on the second floor. Only this party at the Orleans Hotel is different from anything else in a Vegas hotel/casino: At 70 lanes wide, it’s the largest bowling alley beneath the lights. The floor is smoke-free, and it’s among the best places for a kid to have fun within shouting distance of the Strip. An old-school arcade offers an entertaining break for the little ones, and a bar is tucked off to the side for your personal refreshment.

Dressed-Down Brunch
With its ceiling-high glass windows, hardwood floors, exposed-granite walls, and ambient lighting, Simon might look too upscale of restaurant to take the kids. But looks are deceiving: the crowd arrives in their pajamas for Simon’s Sunday brunch. For $12, children 12 and under (it’s $38 for adults) tend to head directly to the Junk Food Dessert Platter, whose menu includes Rice Krispie Treats. Everything from grilled cheese sandwiches to sushi is on the menu. Feel like sleeping in after a big night out? No worries. This brunch stays open until 4 p.m.

Putting Around
Even if you’ve never golfed, you can learn without pressure from the instructors at PGA Tour Academy, open to those 7 years old and up. Though older, we are living proof: No matter how inept, we found the golf school can help anyone — beginners and those more inclined to improve rather than there just to learn the game. Note: For the serious golfer, PGA Tour Academy offers two-, three-, and five-day intensive golf workshops. For ladies only, their own special three-day workshops include fine dining and a chance to stay at the glorious JW Marriott Resort & Spa.
